Sr. Project Manager- HRIS Systems

Our client, a large insurance company located in Horsham, PA is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to Corporate HR and Financial system experience.  Candidate should be skilled in partnering with application development managers, application developers, IT operational managers and business partners to create and implement appropriate and cost efficient solutions based on business requirements.  This is a 3 month contract to perm position.

 

Responsibilities & Required Results:

· Act as project manager, with lead responsibilities for a matrixed team on medium to large sized application development projects.

· Build strong relationships with business leaders/process owners.

· Offer consultative assistance and guidance to application development managers, IT operational managers, junior project managers and overall project team in support of on time solution delivery.

· Work with business partners, application development managers and IT operational managers to ensure business requirements are developed and implemented on time and to specifications, tracking major milestones to completion. 

· Create and maintain updated project plans, and review them with the appropriate IM&T and business partners and steering committees. This includes tracking plans against agreed upon resource levels, timelines and budgets.

· Communicate technical issues, impact, and mitigation strategies in business terminology that can be communicated to and understood by non-technical partners such as the steering committee.

· Own identification, tracking and facilitating resolution of outstanding issues. 

 

 

Job Requirements: 

· 5+ years of project management experience guiding medium to large sized (6-12 month, $2-$10+ million) distributed application projects to implementation.

·   Experience managing Corporate HR and Financial Systems a MUST

·Experience with a payroll conversion project is preferred

· Experience managing medium to large sized project teams (10-25+ people) operating within a matrix organization.

· Business Process Management (BPM) implementation experience a plus.

· Insurance and/or financial services industry knowledge a plus.

· Excellent communication skills combined with experience working in a matrix project team are essential.

· Proficient using MS project.

· Excellent teamwork, analytical, judgment and interpersonal skills are essential.
