Position Description
Provide Revenue Analysis and support to the Sales Controllers Office for the Americas region. Review, manage and assist with Revenue Recognition determinations for a suite of products and services including, software license, maintenance, support and professional services. Responsible for reviewing, reconciling and/or scheduling Revenue, Deferred Revenue and Unbilled Accounts. Work on various  Ad hoc Projects. Serve as a lead in interacting with external auditors during quarter and year end audits. Prepare Technical Revenue write ups based on the review and interpretation of contracts with the assistance of the SCO’s.  Set up mini training sessions regarding revenue for the accounting groups, new hires and possibly outside the organization. Work with Sales organization to ensure the accuracy of the regional forecast

Position Requirements
Accounting or related Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in General Accounting, Revenue Accounting or Finance. Strong understanding of SOP 97-2, 98-9 and other accounting rulings with respect to revenue recognition. Strong Excel skills. Strong revenue systems skills (e.g., Softrax and Oracle). Detail and business process oriented. Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills for interacting with internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured environment. Demonstration of Openwave Values and Behaviors.

Day to day activities:

- Participate in weekly forecast calls
- Participate in deal structuring calls as needed.
- Prepare revenue recognition write-ups.
- Prepare forecast to Actual for the respective sub-regions.
- Analyze backlog with the assistance of SCO
- Validate SFDC with the assistance of SCO.
- Prepare VSOE analysis for respective sub-regions.
- Work with external auditors during quarterly and year end revenue audit.
- Validate new bookings and work closely with Order Management and Accounts Receivable/Collections to ensure data integrity.
- Adhere to Corporate policy and procedures.
- Adhoc reporting/projects
