Sr. SAP FICO Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a permanent Sr. SAP FICO Business Systems Analyst who will support the existing design and implement new functionality with the SAP environment that satisfies business needs.Responsible for providing SAP support to users within functional and technical areas of expertise.

 

This includes: Interacting with users to understand requirements, evaluating alternate solutions, resolving problems/issues, providing user training, communicating status and documenting system changes (e.g. new reports and functionality) to the appropriate business levels in the organization. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) lead for 1) all general ledger functions (including but not limited to chart of accounts with reconciliation, journal entries, month end processing, budgets and forecasting, profit center accounting, financial and management reporting);  2) all accounts payable functions (including but not limited to invoicing, payment information and reporting with variants);  3) all accounts receivable functions (including but not limited to credit management, collections, lockbox and cash applications).Configure SAP and develop/perform unit tests in accordance with specifications

 

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Accounting or equivalent work experience (7+ w/degree; 15+ w/o degree); 2 SAP full project life cycle implementations.Expert knowledge of SAP FICO, version 4.6 or higher.  Expert knowledge of finance - general ledger (profit center accounting, profitability analysis, etc.), accounts payable (invoicing, payment information, reporting with variants, etc.),  and accounts receivables (credit management, lockbox and cash applications).  Demonstrate ability to design and configure SAP in areas of expertise.  Basic understanding of the integration points between the modules and their dependencies around Sales & Distribution and Manufacturing.  Strong knowledge and experience with business processes, e.g. account reconciliation, journal entries, accrual processing, inventory accounting, intercompany processing, month-end close operations, credit management, shipping, billing, procure to pay, credit holds, risk profiles, receipt settlement, and draft processing.
