Sr. SQL Database Architect

 Senior Level Database Architect/ DBA

Due to our tremendous growth and business acquisitions, Ipreo is looking to hire a Sr. Database Architect/ Tech Lead to partner with and build relationships with Business sponsors and manage expectations on deliverables for clients. As a hands-on technical lead, this person must be able to manage and direct our critical MS SQL Server development initiatives.


Skills:
3-4 years of experience managing mid to large size teams and large-scale database design and implementation initiatives.
An expert in MS SQL Server 2005, including SSIS, Analysis Services and Reporting Services.
7+ years of database development experience and at least 4-5 years experience with MS SQL server database. Financial experience a plus.
Extensive hands-on experience in design and development of stored procedures and triggers and TSQL. Will be actively developing and implementing sql code, processes and functions.
Strong experience in query optimization, db performance tuning, database backups, replications, and capacity/storage management on SAN storage.
Strong leadership skills to be able to motivate and manage a team of intelligent db developers.
Excellent written and oral communication. Effectively communicate objective and goals of the project to other internal groups.
Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
BS in Computer Science or related degree is required. MS is a plus.
