The Job in a Nutshell:
We are seeking an experienced J2EE developer to add to our engineering team who is proficient with real-time systems, application servers, and distributed applications development.  This position will play a critical role in the design and development of a GPS-based application and workforce management systems. Primary responsibilities will include the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of a J2EE software application, deployed in a Software-as-a-Service environment.  Successful candidate will also be called on to work on user interfaces, and integrate with third-party tools.  Experience with J2EE application server configuration for reliability and performance is highly desirable.  Strong verbal and written communication skills required - must be a team player.

 

Must-have skills and experience:BSEE, BSCS, or related degree required. 8+ years experience doing object-oriented development, primarily in Java Experience with Weblogic, Oracle. Application server clustering and optimizing for both throughput and scalability. Java, J2EE, JMS, XML, SQL/PLSQL, JDBC. Strong analytical and design skills, including experience with design patterns, and design for high uptime and reliability. Proficiency in writing functional specifications and object modeling techniques.



Additional PlusExperience with Web Services, and Sonic JMS or other messaging systems. Familiarity with TCP/IP and UDP protocols. Experience as an architect of a web-based application. Experience in Telecommunications, Networking, and Location-based Services.
