Sr. Software Engineer - Mobile

Nuance is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer for the Mobile Application Group to play a key role in the design and implementation of the server side of its next generation of Mobile Application Products. The product will be built to ship on billions of devices worldwide with a potential to be the most used piece of software on the planet. - Drive and implement the server side design of the a carrier grade framework
- Implement/Integrate into carrier specific infra structure
- Solve and develop new technologies to handle a strong user experience on handset from the server side
- Implement a low cost (network wise) synchronization system
- Implement and drive an automated test frame work development
- Interact and work with the NMC Client Engineering team on shared tasks


• Master's degree (or above) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of working experience of full life-cycle software development
• 8+ years of working experience in Client/server Space
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have strong expertise in
o Java, C#, C, C++, VoiceXML, perl, Tcl/Tk, PHP, Ruby, Python, Lisp
o Windows, Unix (Sun, Hp), Linux
o J2EE, Servlets/JSP, VXML, WebServices, HTML, CVS, ClearCase, SIP, SQL, Telephony Interfaces

• Working knowledge of web technologies such as Ajax
• Experience with any of following will be a plus:
o Spring
o Mobile Phone Development
o Mobile Protocol Development
o OMA specification
o Server Performance development
o Client/server architecture
o Brew Server side /BDS
o SMSC
o WAP Push
o UI development
o Brew Development
