Sr. Software Engineer/Project Lead with Instill Corporation

Summary:

 

We are seeking a Technical Project Lead Engineer to help Instill Corporation design and develop a new web-based Business Intelligence product line.  This new application requires that you work closely with Instill’s Product Managers and Customers to architect, design and develop features involving dynamic, graphical dashboards, web UIs, sophisticated application logic, report infrastructures, portal integration and high-volume transactional data-marts. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of this new product line.  You will provide technical and project leadership for the work product, growth and development of your team.  Technical responsibilities span the full web-app development stack including: SQL database design (OLTP and warehouse), app-server business logic, integration of analytic and reporting engines, portlet integration and UI design via AJAX, Flex/Flash, dhtml and/or other techniques.

Requirements:

 Extensive experience in the architecture, design and implementation of major business applications and products.Extensive technical and project leadership experience delivering product and developing and growing a technical team.Extensive hands-on experience with web technologies and web-based applications. Specifically: Java / JSP / J2EE, AJAX or equivalent, DHTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, PL/SQL, Oracle, Data Modeling (OLTP and data-warehouse), Windows, UNIX.Proficient with: Flex, Flash, Reporting engines (e.g. MicroStrategy), MS Office Automation, Excel, Access.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to present technical concepts in a clear manner.Strong business analysis skills.Experience working with Customers, product managers and cross-functional teams across multiple departments.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (MS preferred)8+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
