Sr. Software Engineer / Team Leader / Architect / CTO for (.NET)

Job Description:
Your title will be CTO, but all of these skills are part of this job requirement.  Come and join a well established company located in Burlington, VT.  My client offers an excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to work with cutting edge Microsoft technologies.  You'll oversee three small teams of developers and manage all phases of development for the company.  You will be the face of the development team and the technology department.  You will collaborate with different business units, as well as the other executives to make the goals of the company possible.  You will work with the existing Sr. Development Team to select and update new technologies utilized by the company.  You will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate code.

Responsibilities:
Overarching responsibility for technical issues and directions across all departments of the company. Responsibilities include coordinating technology implementations across various departments.

Provide architectural design/direction to the development team (10-15 professionals).

Review software design documents, code, and architecture to ensure it meets a standard of maintainability and quality.

Ensure software is released in a controlled, maintainable, and repeatable fashion.

Provide leadership and feedback to team members regarding technologies and project direction.

Lead teams of Sr. Software Engineers (4-5 team members) in designing, developing, modifying, and maintaining .NET applications.  Lead by Example 10-20% of your time.

Coordinates development activities to meet project deadlines.

Leads code, documentation, and progress reviews.

Responsible for strategic and tactical .NET technology decisions.

Mentor less senior developers

Manage and oversee internal technologies and services to all departments within the company

Manage and oversee all web services and applications that deliver the companies content products to our partners and customers

Direct and oversee all software development – both tools for internal use and those licensed to external customers.

Design and continuously evolve the optimum technical infrastructure to meet the company’s business goals

Requirements:

5+ years experience with hands on object-oriented development in C#/.NET and 10+ years over all experience

Experience as the Software Manager, Team Leader or CTO for a team of .NET developers

BS in Computer Science or related field

Strong grounding in all Microsoft core technologies, particularly C#, Windows Forms, WPF, WCF, and ASP.NET
