Sr. Systems Administrator / 08-2175 Position Description:IntraISP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cleawire and has been developing and supporting billing & business management systems for the technology services industry since 1994. What are the job responsibilities? • Establishing overall Architectural Strategy and Technology Roadmaps for Server Infrastructure including: High Availability Strategy, Server Tiering, Resource Management, Virtual provisioning & computing, and On-Demand Capacity Planning • Providing input and recommendations into Architectural strategy and Roadmap for the following additional services: Proactive and Auto-corrective Monitoring, System Hardening & Access Control, Backup Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Lifecycle Management, Change Control, Job scheduling and Production Operational Readiness. • Establishing Policies, Procedures & Guidelines for Server Infrastructure • On-going assessment of operational processes, practices and technology to drive improvements in service and support that result in lower cost and greater customer satisfaction. • Governance of Hardware & Software Infrastructure health per IntraISP’s Lifecycle Management strategy • Infrastructure Lead for one or more Business Units; which will include overseeing Customer Satisfaction, compliance of all Operational SLAs, and the quality & timely delivery of new business infrastructure solutions provided by Midrange Shared Services • Midrange Business Lead, representing a single face of Midrange Services to an assigned business unit. Responsible for partnering with the Other departments Business Lead to ensure satisfaction of the client including: quality & timely delivery of midrange infrastructure solutions, efficient process execution and compliance of Operational SLA's delivered by the outsource service provider. • Coaching to drive improved skills within of the team • Level 3 Rotational On-Call Support of the Unix Server environment What else can we tell you? IntraISP is responsible for supporting over 200 Unix/Linux servers today and support another 40 servers between customers worldwide, and will be growing to over 400 servers in the next year across 2 data centers. Required Skills: 7+ years experience designing, building, administering and troubleshooting in a large high transaction SAN based environment leveraging both virtualization & multi-domain technology Exceptional platform & Operating System expertise including Linux, Tomcat, and Apache& T1 technologies Strong knowledge of: Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, PHP and Java systems.• Proactive & auto-corrective monitoring practices leveraging third party products such as Zabbix, Open Source.Hands on experience designing, building and supporting: • Various Active/Passive & Active/Active High Availability solutions • Best in class Unix Virtualization solutions • Automated Server Deployment and Configuration Management solutions • Hot datacenter stand-by and Cold remote site Disaster Recovery solutions Strong Networking background as it relates to IPMP and IP network server troubleshooting Strong Project Leadership including: Planning, Coordination, Tracking & Management of issues Exceptional Organization, Communication and Follow-through skills Preferred Skills: Experience with Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, PHP and Java systems.
