Sr. Web Systems Administrator

Oak Grove Technologies is seeking an energetic Sr. Systems Administrator to work at McDill AFB on the CENTCOM contract.

 

Responsibilities include:Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects. Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

Qualifications include:Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.  Must have a good understanding of Internet Information Server (IIS), Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA), Firewalls, SQL Servers, Microsoft Clustering and Microsoft 2003 Active Directory.Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field.General knowledge of other related disciplines. Ability to obtain a Dod Secret Security Clearance.
