Staff Accountant (Mid-Level)

Starbak allows organizations to create their own video networks and customized video portals with on-demand and live video programming tailored to the needs of their unique audience. We are currently seeking a proactive staff accountant who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment. In this role you will function as the primary day to day contact for all accounting and office functions for our small office in Newton. The ideal candidate will like the variety and challenge a small office setting offers and be willing to handle whatever might come up in the day of a busy software development firm.

Specific duties include: daily bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, collections, deposits, order entry, sales/COGs and other spreadsheet reporting, payroll processing, time off tracking as well as other general accounting and office functions.

To be considered you should have a BA/BS and/or at least 3-5 years of hands on accounting and office experience. Knowledge of Peachtree is a plus. Fluency in Excel and accounting software is essential. Must be detail oriented. Prior experience in a product based, venture backed enterprise and/or experience dealing with investors is useful.
