Storage Architect

Storage Architects are technology-focused individuals who have skills and experience working with corporate information system technologies. They should be comfortable describing, demonstrating and installing SAN technologies and solutions to all audiences.  In addition, they should have a proven track record of successful system design, implementation, and problem solving with the ability to quickly understand customer environments to offer innovative solutions.

Responsibilities: Implement comprehensive enterprise Storage Area Network/Network Attached Storage, disaster recovery, and accelerated backup solutions at customer data centers Stage Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage network including FC zoning and IP setup. Provide basic training after SAN/NAS is deployed Prepare and manage different stages of large scale projects. Work closely with support staff to overcome technical difficulties in the field. Up to 80% domestic travel required

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:Working knowledge of major operating systems such as UNIX, NT, HPUX, SUN Solaris or AIX, especially RH and SUSE flavor of Linux. Working knowledge of FC and SCSI protocols, as well as hardware storage arrays and switches from different vendors. Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, telephone and presentations skills. Demonstrated ability to assess and respond to customer issues in a professional manner. Minimum of a Bachelors or Associates Degree in a technical field. A minimum of 2 years of working experience is required.
