Description:

Epsilon Interactive seeks a System Engineer in their Monitoring and SLA department to assist in Technology Operations support. Responsibilities: Implement, configure, manage changes, trouble shoot and support Global monitoring of all the Epsilon Interactive environments/applications/systems/Data Centers. Implement new monitoring, maintain, Patch upgrade the servers, OS and monitoring softwareDevelop, test and execute and maintain the custom scripts for monitoring and reportingGenerate Monitoring reports and SLA reports for capacity management periodically or on demand. Work very closely with Capacity Management team to provide load analysis and load patterns. Work very closely and provide required reports to the NOC, administrators, support engineersDevelop and use different tools to enhance the monitoring and reporting.Automate the alerting mechanism and resolution of the possible issues.Automate the different Infrastructure operations and processes.Should have knowledge of Perl/C++/Shell Scripting on UNIX and Windows.Integrate such custom monitors with Big Brother, Hobbit and SiteScope.Use SNMP to monitor hardware and operating systems (UNIX, Windows), as well as network devicesIntegrate SNMP monitoring with Big Brother/Hobbit/SiteScopeSet up centralized SNMP daemon to catch SNMP trapsQualifications:Familiarity with SNMP tools and concepts like snmpwalk, snmpget, MIBs, and SNMP trapsKnowledge of Perl/C++/Shell Scripting on UNIX and WindowsAbility to set up UNIX and Windows servers to enable monitoring servers to get SNMP data from themAbility to work well independently (research and learn technologies) and as a team memberGood verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail is critical as well as the ability to think "outside the box"Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skillsSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceEpsilon offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).Job Location: Lafayette, COJob Number: 2955Company Profile:About our Company:Epsilon is a leading provider of multi-channel marketing services, technologies and database solutions.
