System and Process Analyst

Job Summary:

The System and Process Analyst will analyze and report on findings regarding the behavior and performance of ASA’s home-grown and integrated third-party systems. This includes developing and using data mining methods for significant facts, performing statistical analysis on data, preparing regular and ad-hoc charts and reports and synthesizing data into meaningful and actionable analysis.

In addition the System and Process Analyst will analyze, document and, where needed, develop the processes used by the Operations and Engineering teams in the Systems and Operations Department. These include hardware, network, storage and OS engineering on the server and desktop, and operational tasks in support of ASA’s home-grown and integrated third-party systems.

 

Essential Functions:Independently analyze data on system behavior, identify anomalies, determine cause/scope, and develop analysis documents.Produce regular and ad-hoc charts and reports.Identify data gathering and analysis techniques and processes.Performs necessary analysis of S&O processes.Create SOPs, flowcharts and/or diagrams of the process, as needed.Prepares accurate, comprehensive and concise documentation explaining the process identified.  Documents the existing process, the proposed process and the proposed scope of the process change in a logical format.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.2+ years experience of statistical analysis and business process flow analysis in a financial services setting.Demonstrated proficiency in SQL in order to perform data profiling, aggregation, and extraction.Experience analyzing and documenting technical processes.
