Systems Developer / Technical Analyst

Our client is a small, successful technology provider to the Federal Government having many established and long-term contracts with the Military and the Department of Defense. They have developed unique, strategic and sophisticated software tools for analytics, modeling and business intelligence purposes that are utilized throughout several branches of the Military.

Currently our client seeks a Sr. Systems Developer / Technical Analyst who can bring both technical skills (i.e., expertise in MS Excel, MS Access, and VBA) as well as sound analytic capabilities. Our clients software has been successfully utilized by the Government for well over 5 years during this timeframe improvements and modifications to the system have and will continue to be needed. This role will oversee and work closely with the user community to collect and implement software changes and enhancements to this evolving analytics tool.

The successful candidate is expert in MS Excel (systems user interfaces such as forms, menus, control-box objects, Excel graphs, data tables, and file exports), MS Access, and Visual Basic. They are experienced in extracting data from scaled databases and able to track and manage system and documentation libraries as well as develop and execute standard testing routines.

The position is located near the Pentagon (metro accessible) and requires a US Citizenship (ability to obtain SECRET clearance a must).

Requirements:

5-7 years experience as a systems analyst
Expert ability using MS Excel, MS Access, and VBA (Office 2003, and ideally, Office 2007)
Familiarity with MS Excels and Access References and Objects Library
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, multi-task environment
Exceptional communication ability
Security clearance (Secret or above)
BS degree (MA or MS degree a plus)
