As a member of the Systems Administration team, you will be working along side a dynamic group of professionals tackling a variety of challenging projects and tasks. This position will take a lead role in the planning, coordination and deployment of messaging related projects. * Design enhancements and implementation of Enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange 2003 environments, including the migration to Exchange 2007. * Perform tasks related to Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007 engineering and operational functions. * Acts as a key participant in the planning, coordination and deployment of messaging related project such as e-mail Archiving, Unified Message and Unified Communications. * Manage and Support Microsoft Exchange Server Clusters and email clients. * Support local and remote wireless email clients such as Blackberry and OMA/ActiveSync Devices. * Work with internal clients to establish business and technical requirements define support practices and establish deployment guidelines for OS, hardware and applications. * Evaluate, build, test and deploy systems. Install new software releases and system upgrades. Evaluate and install security and application patches and resolve software related problems. * Serve as project manager for cross-functional areas related to the above. * Provide senior technical leadership to other members of the team and project leaders. * Create and review technical operations procedures. * Serve as customer interface for operations and an escalations resource for the helpdesk. * Strong Background in Windows, Active Directory and Exchange with experience in design, deployment, and support of mid-to-large, complex production environments. * Requires 5+ years experience working within a Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003 environment with proven experience leading engineering efforts primarily with Exchange 2003/2007. * Must have extensive experience with Active Directory. * 4+ years Exchange 2000/2003 Engineer role with design, testing and implementation experience. * Strong knowledge of current and future IT industry trends, business process, planning and strategy. * Proficiency and experience in combinations of the following: Exchange Messaging upgrades; Business Continuity & High Availability; Messaging Consolidation; Secure Messaging; Messaging Archiving; Unified Messaging; Mobile Messaging; Office Communications Server; ADSI and Exchange scripting. * Solid background in network fundamentals to include DNS and Advanced Windows Server systems administration. * Experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server a plus. * Backup and recovery experience with Exchange aware Backup software required. * Exchange scripting - including Windows PowerShell and VB. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely (verbal - written skills) with peers as well as management. * Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as to work well within groups. * Degree in a computer related field preferred or significant experience in lieu of a degree with certifications required. * Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification (MCSE+ Exchange 2003) desired, MCP in relevant areas as a minimum.
