Full-time, permanent position available starting immediately. GTRI is looking for a Systems Engineer with a MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Systems Engineering with a background in Modeling and Simulation. 

Seeking innovative leader with 5-10 years of experience interested in an interdisciplinary applied research and development career focusing on the modeling/simulation in the area of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS).  The goal of this research is to analyze and further develop the end-to-end simulation of the BMDS.  Must have demonstrated experience building/integrating models in a simulation environment. Current position is to be lead researcher on the analysis of the existing BMDS architecture and its further development. Will be responsible for development of technical reports and presentations for Government officials.

The ideal candidate would have a strong background and understanding of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) to include use case requirements, fidelity implications and distributed simulation.  The candidate should have a System Engineering/Integration background and must be able to develop and examine trade spaces related to large-scale M&S efforts.  The candidate should have solid technical credentials with the ability to apply the overall skill set to a particular problem.  The successful candidate must be willing to work across technical domains , such as Radar and IR sensors, Command and Control, and Communications and Networking.  It is desirable that the candidate have some knowledge/experience with the BMDS.Positions are located in Atlanta, GA, Huntsville, AL and Colorado Springs, CO.




Candidate must be a US citizen eligible for a security clearance. A security clearance is required for this position.
