Systems Engineer with Microsoft focus needed west of Boston!!!

Our client, a business-continuity support provider, is looking to hire a Systems Engineer with a Microsoft focus.

 

This is a hands-on technical role which requires experience with Design, Implementation and Support in Microsoft Windows and other environments. The ability to lead customer strategic technical direction and technical design regarding Active Directory, Document Management, Citrix and Exchange is critical.

 

An experienced Systems Consultant with strong systems integration, communication and interpersonal skills is a must. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with a dynamic personality who is looking to evolve their career. You must be able to wear many hats ranging from project design and implementation to day to day operational support. A strong desire to learn new technology is critical. 

 

Experience in the Legal community is highly desired, but not a requirement. Well qualified candidates will have at least 4+ years of integration services.

 The ideal candidate will apply strong networking skills to the analysis, design, development, integration, and implementation and support of Microsoft centered network resources. Candidate will resolve problems which require an intimate knowledge of various technologies and the ability to work independently and in conjunction with a team of consultants.

As part of our team, you will be supporting customers utilizing a multitude of solutions. They include but are not limited to Windows XP/Vista, 2003/2008, Exchange 5.x/2000/2003/2007, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Citrix, VMWare, Interwoven and OpenText .

 Skills and Qualifications:

* Prior consulting experience required

* Excellent organizational and communications skills

* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

* Proven client interaction and service skills along with the ability to be outgoing, assertive, and self-motivated

* Ability to identify projects and opportunities

* Ability to work in a variety of environments

* Strong problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills as well as critical thinking

* Proven team player with excellent oral and written communication skills

* Conduct technical client meetings (with all levels of an organization) and provide written and verbal communication to the client

* Strong project management is a must, and must be able to deliver complex projects on time and within budget

* Provide on-time technical status reports to Project Managers for milestones and project deliverables

* Work as part of a diverse team and mentor junior team members

* Work closely with the customer in the design and implementation/integration of systems

* Develop written documentation including project plans, policy and procedure, presentations, and other documents as necessary

* Accurately record and track time spent working on client projects for billing purposes

* Provide remote support and resolution for client issues and concerns during lifecycle of the project.

* Clearly and concisely document business requirements for client enhancement requests

* Bachelor's Degree in technical or financial discipline required

* 4 years of intensive experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of complex multi office networks

* Must be open to some daily and overnight travel

 Required Experience:

* You should have experience Designing, Managing and Supporting Windows 2000/2003, Exchange 2000/2003, AD, Document management and SQL environments

* Active Directory design experience with multiple forests, domains and implementation of organization-wide group policies

* Windows XP/2000/2003 platforms including detailed understanding of Operating System internals,

* Citrix certification, troubleshooting Citrix environments

* Server, Storage & Network Consolidation Experience

* Experience with Disaster Recovery concepts

* Document Management certification and Experience (Interwoven Worksite specific, matter centric experience preferred)

 Experience that is not required, but is desired:

 * Experience deploying corporate-wide Citrix Metaframe server infrastructure

* Understanding of Storage and Server Virtualization VMWare VMotion and Virtual Center

* SAN/NAS/Data Replication technologies

* VMWare GSX & ESX/VI3, P2V Migration Tool, VMWare VCP (VMWare Certified Professional)

* OpenText Document Management certifications (DM5)

* Scripting / Programming experience
