Systems Engineer with SharePoint

As a Senior Systems Engineer with SharePoint specialization, your focus will be to lead technical activities and teams that plan, architect, design, build, and enhance the IT infrastructure based on SharePoint technologies. You will build your management, technical and project management skills by participating in large, complex customer projects. You will improve your abilities to think creatively, design solutions and provide high quality consulting services.

This position includes participation in projects that develop custom applications based on SharePoint.  You will be responsible to lead the implementation of a SharePoint Application Infrastructure that supports development, testing, staging and production environments.  Typical projects include solutions for Enterprise Portals, Team Collaboration, Executive Dashboards, Document Management and Enterprise Search.  These projects often include a national or global scope supporting up to tens of thousands of users or more.

Technical activities will include the installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Enterprise Search, Windows Server, SQL Server, Internet Security and Acceleration Server and Virtualization Services.  The ability to design and implement robust operations solutions for SharePoint backup and disaster recovery is also required using both native and 3rd party tools.  You will need the ability to create high-quality project documentation including design, build and operations support deliverables.

Minimum Requirements

 

Customer presentation and demonstration skills
Consulting or project management experience
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

MS Operating Systems, including Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP/Vista
Network protocols/services and network infrastructures
Directory Services such as Active Directory
Server hardware, SAN storage devices and networking security devices
Current authorization to work in the US on other than a non-immigration visa.Preferred RequirementsMCSE Certification on Windows 2003
MS Certification on Office SharePoint 2007 or Windows SharePoint Services (WSS)

Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise Search
Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft MIIS or ILM
Microsoft ISA Server or other perimeter security or reverse proxy systems
Application Infrastructure
Data Center Consolidation and Optimization
Virtualization such as VMware ESX, Microsoft Virtual Server or Microsoft Hyper-Visor
Some exposure to scripting or programming with VB, SQL and/or ASP.
