TECHNICAL WRITER

Designs, modifies and writes software and hardware documentation packages, to include hardware and software configurations, installation and maintenance procedures, architecture, and end-user support documentation. Documents installs of software applications/operating systems. Participates in the testing process through test procedure review and analysis and test witnessing. Coordinates work with other team members. Provides technical editing support to project team members. Familiar with a variety of the technical writing field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred. 2+ years exposure to object oriented software development products and processes, strong preference for familiarity with Microsoft .NET and/or SQL code. Documenting policy and procedures for installation and maintenance of networking and database systems, strong preference for Microsoft Windows Server, SharePoint WSS/MOSS and/or SQL Server. Experience working as team member of managed projects.Training and local certifications in current toolsets such as Microsoft Offices SharePoint Services, SQL Server, Microsoft Office and other similar disciplines will be required to be achieved within six months of hire.
