DepartmentEducational Services - Teaching ServicesResponsibilitiesWork cooperatively with Teaching Services, Customer Service, and Information Services staff to develop and implement process improvements, workflow, and other strategic initiatives Gather information from project sponsors and stakeholders to determine scope, specifications, and needsWork independently and with team managers to devise implementation strategies to execute according to approved goals and objectives Gather and document issues with internal customers and communicate with Information Services and SAP developers to help resolve themConduct cost benefit analyses, recommend solutions, and anticipate and overcome obstacles dealing with cross system and technology issues Drive cross functional integration between SAP, Legacy processes, and other systemsWrite proposals; develop project plans, task lists, goals, and timetables that meet product and project objectives and priorities Write analysis reports and create documentation about technology usage and process Train clients in new technology and/or tool usageRequirementsB.A./B.S. in an applicable fieldTwo years of project management experience or equivalentStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and SAP R/3 and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologiesAn understanding of project management methodology and project lifecycle processesAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work well as part of a team and organize team members to accomplish project goalsRecommended QualificationsAt least one year of experience managing projects from inception to completion including defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusionsMinimum of one year of experience managing staff; ability to create and nurture a team-building environmentProficiency in Microsoft ProjectProject management trainingProject Management Professional (PMP) certification (completed or commencing)
