Teamsite Developer Work From Home Opportunity

The objective of this project will be to migrate VA Regional Intranet websites to the VA template, so that they are in compliance with VA Directive and VA Handbook 6102. This will result in all VISN 21 Intranet sites having the same VA ‘look and feel’.

Additionally, the migration will include transferring the websites from their existing hosting locations around Northern California to the national servers at VA Web Ops in Falling Water, WV. NO travel to WV is anticipated; good communication is required.



This position requires the person to work and coordinate with VA managers and their designated personnel to ensure approved content, formats, processes and quality assurance procedures are incorporated into the migration. The Developer/Programmer must maintain regular consistent, predictable attendance; exercise good judgment; and maintain high ethical standards. 

 

The specific essential duties are to migrate web content for each of six sites. Some will use Teamsite-Forms, some will use Teamsite-Files

 

1)  VISN 21 –HQ: Teamsite – Forms Based

2)  VA Central California Health Care System: Teamsite – Forms Based 
3)  VA Northern California Health Care System: Teamsite – File Based

4)  VA Palo Alto Health Care System: Teamsite – Forms Based

5)  VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System: Teamsite – Forms Based

6)  VA San Francisco Medical Center: Teamsite – Forms Based

 

 

Web Content Migration. Moderate tech skills, superior editing skills, good communicator. Able to start immediately.

 

Preferance given to a qualified candidate with a Veteran and/or Service Disabled Veteran Status.

 Work Environment

 

Office work, some work from home, some travel and driving. Requires use of phone, extended periods of sitting, software skills; speaking to various personnel of the project and small groups.
