Technicial Lead (Search Applications)

Oversee.net is looking for a Technical Lead with exceptional experience programming and technical management for its Marketing Services Division. This candidate will help recruit and lead a team of 2 to 4 developers to work on sophisticated online traffic acquisition technology for lead generation. This includes creating bid management and optimization platform across major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, MSN, etc), a platform for optimizing purchases of media and banner advertising, SEO competitive tools and other traffic opportunities. This candidate will work closely with the R&D team to develop advanced algorithms into production systems that optimize 100's of millions of impressions a day.

The Marketing Services Division connects highly-motivated consumers with its top-tier clients through quality lead generation technology. Oversee.net's current successful lead generation sites include Low.com, a leading mortgage service portal, Lowfares.com, a top meta-search travel site, and Downloadrings.com, a top mobile content site. The Marketing Services Division will also be growing into new lead generation opportunities.

Responsibilities:Work closely with a cross functional team, including a strong R&D team, to rapidly build and iterate systems to generate and optimize large volumes of traffic Optimize and enhance web applications with millions of page requests, high volume data logging and processing needs, and high performance requirements Manage, recruit and mentor a team of 2 to 4 Software Engineers Write thorough, comprehensive technical and high-level documentation

Requirements:Detailed knowledge of high traffic, fault tolerant, 24x7 websites 7+ years experience developing web-based systems running in a Unix environment, using languages such as C++, Java or Perl Experience with developing web services applications Basic SQL, XML, TCP/IP, NFS, mod_perl, and Apache application server knowledge Log parsing and basic data analysis

Required Personal Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills Strong initiative - capable of working on a self-sufficient basis and identifying areas of potential technical improvement Self-management - capable of prioritizing and executing tasks Problem solving - ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues

Preferred:7+ years C++, Java or Perl Expertise in: DBI, HTML::Mason, Template::Toolkit, Threads, and XS Expertise in Optimization Algorithms Proficient Test Planning MVC implementation experience BS/MS degree
