Learn more about ESRI and apply online at www.esri.com/careers DepartmentBusiness ServicesResponsibilitiesProvide programming support for custom, cutting-edge ArcGIS projects related to the commercial market (insurance, retail, and financial services clients).Work directly with clients on requirements definition and defining a vision for using GIS within their company.Create and deploy customized applications.Provide technical support and training.RequirementsB.S./M.S. in GIS, MIS, computer science, or related field.Experience working in an applications development environment including expertise in Java and/or .NET (years of experience commensurate with position level: senior, 11+; mid-level, 4-10; and junior, less than three).Experience with Oracle or other RDBMS, SQL, and/or PL/SQL.Knowledge of and ability to apply emerging information and GIS technologies.Experience using ESRI software including ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Server.Recommended QualificationsExperience with component-based architectures, OO, COM, and/or SOA.Experience with other industry-standard technologies such as XML, Web services, application servers, and/or Web servers.Data modeling and UML experience.SQL performance tuning. Strong communication skills. Technical leadership of a project development team.Experience with software estimating, planning, and progress tracking.
