Technical Instructional Designer (46816)

QUALIFICATIONS:BA or BS Education/Instructional Design/Instructional Technology/Training & Development or related field required with a minimum of 3 years industry experience and exposure to a regulated environment.  Advanced degree in Instructional Design/Instructional Technology/Training & Development or related field preferred. Demonstrated instructional design and development skills including needs analysis, design and development methodologies, and evaluation. Experience with authoring tools used in e-learning and multimedia technologies such as Flash.  Experience analyzing task content for simulation suitability desired.  Experience with PLSQL, Access, HTML, JavaScript, XML, podcasting, videocasting and graphic design a plus.  Transit transportation technical training development experience a plus.


BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Utilize information from subject matter experts to design course descriptions, online learning modules, blended learning models and full-scale training programs that incorporate adult learning principles to deliver training in an efficient and effective manner. Uses sound instructional design principles to identify equipment operation task elements suitable for transition to simulation.  Evaluate, select, and use a variety of techniques for determining instructional content and strategies. Utilize training authoring and multimedia tools and software.
