Job Description: Technical Lead– Software/Scientist



21st Century Technologies is looking for a solid leader to join our development team in a full time position.


 

Responsibilities: 

§  Responsible for the requirements, design, and development of software on various contracts including, but not limited to:

-  Capturing and managing system requirements according to customer needs;

-  Developing and maintaining system architecture and high level design;

-  Responsible for development of system and testing through integration testing;

-  Participating in design reviews (insuring compliance with architecture and design);

-  Tasking Engineers on a day to day basis.

§  Providing task- and project-level technical supervision, tasking, scheduling, mentoring, and training of Engineers and Senior Research Engineers, with the support of the Program Manager.

§  Responsible for implementing as well as complying with current best practices in software development that the company has implemented.

 

Requirements: 

§  Must have a Bachelors in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of experience, Masters plus 4 years, or PhD plus 2 years experience.

§  Must have technical management experience managing software developers. 

§  Demonstrated proficiency in Java.

§Experience in at least one of the following preferred, but not required: Graph-based Data Analysis and Modeling, Optimization, Statistical Signal Processing, Control Theory, Operations Research, Cognitive Systems, Rule-based Systems, Knowledge-based Systems, AI, Visualization.

§  Experience with Government contracts preferred.

§  Security Clearance preferred.

§  Experience writing technical articles, whitepapers, or patents helpful.
