Our client, an innovative mobile/wireless solutions provider is looking to expand their wireless data products in the global wireless market.POSITION SUMMARYThe Project Manager delivers software engineering projects across the organization. The successful candidate will develop the project strategy, including planning and scheduling to ensure that all necessary components and deliverables will be met. The Project Manager plans, organizes, leads, and monitors the activities of cross-functional project teams while maintaining overall control of the schedule and committed deliverables, seeking executive guidance and approvals as necessary. The Project Manager's role is both strategic and tactical in focus, with broad contact and coordination with a variety of teams.1. Responsible for key deliverables such as timely communication of project milestones, status reporting, change requests, budget performance and risk reports2. Responsible for and delivering project kick-off meetings and facilitating planning sessions at various stages of the project lifecycle3. Responsible for providing project management leadership to establish and implement project management best practices to be utilized throughout the PSO Practices.4. Other duties of the Project Manager include working with teams in resolving discrepancies, removing or mitigating roadblocks, acting on issues of non-compliance, and facilitating communication among all project stakeholders.5. Ensuring effective tracking of outstanding deliverables, milestones, and change requests also falls within the project manager's role, as does providing regular status updates to project stakeholders, along with ensuring ISO compliant processes are followed within project teams. Essential Requirements:• 10 years of project management experience focused on software development• 5+ years experience in the wireless mobile industry• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in project management, including expertise with project management tools.• Experience managing software development projects through the full lifecycle.• Experience managing off-shore development teams would be an asset.• Ability to lead ad hoc teams of very bright and highly motivated individuals• Ability to scope and size work efforts effectively• Strong organization and time management skills• Proven customer management skills• Highly developed and influential communication, facilitation and presentation skills.• Ability to effectively and realistically apply structured Project Management methodologies• Proven leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.• Team player with proven ability to facilitate project delivery through high-functioning teams.• Prior exposure to quality management, ISO certification, requirements management, or software testing is advantageous, as is PMP certification and PMO experience.JPATRICK.COM- Priority is given to candidates who apply directly through our website!!!Take 60 seconds and gain an advantage in the screening process.
