Technical Research Analyst

 Primary duties include reviewing current and future product/service offerings and reporting on how they work, their pros and cons. Analyze extract, compile, and report data; design & conduct surveys and interviews; handle multiple tasks; assist in developing and drafting new business and technical proposals. For this role, an interest in cutting edge telecommunications and computer technology is essential along with computer literacy and the ability to present clearly documented information.  The applicant will need to have previous experience querying large-scale databases; troubleshooting and manipulating data; creating reports; filling ad-hoc data requests and reporting requirements; designing and conducting analytical, research and evaluation studies including preparing interpretive analyses and presenting findings in narrative and graphic forms; and effectively interacting with team members and external constituencies in carrying out these responsibilities. A strong customer service orientation is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, meet deadlines and accurately handle details.

 

JOB SUMMARY: Working as a member of Market America's Research and Development team: Research and document internet-related products/services and technologies. Review and compare architecture and design of internet-related products/services and technologies. Write papers on technical analysis. Participate in research projects with other team members and associates. Attend industry conferences and trade-shows.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: Experience in this field desired or equivalent work experience, must have an in-depth understanding of the underlying IT technologies. Excellent problem solving skills, flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with product evaluation and technology analysis.
