Technical Sales Consultant / Web Developer

We are searching on behalf of Micros Retail for a Technical Sales Consultant to join their Westborough office.  You must be an enthusiastic and motivated team player who will be leading the company’s efforts in support of sales.  You will work closely with the Sales Executives and Project Implementation Managers to ensure that revenue/gross profit objectives are met with new customers and current clients.  The Sales Consultant will work closely with prospects to demonstrate the technical effectiveness of CommercialWare’s products and how those products will improve the prospects’ business operations.

 

Responsibilities:

 Develop and provide technical sales tools to aid in the sales effort.  This includes demonstration software, scripts, marketing collateral, and/or promotional aids used to achieve the revenue objectives.Building web screens for presentations used by the sales teamWork with the Marketing and Business Development departments to develop technical presentations, value propositions, specific demonstration, collateral and other such needs.Provide technical feedback to Research and Development department on industry trends and competitors’ functionality offeringsWork with the Client Services department to develop technical service offerings for prospects and to refine sales support tools and service offeringsServe as a technical member on product roll out teamsAssist in analyzing and strategizing on sales opportunities (new and installed base); provide technical insight into the unique elements of the prospects’ businesses.Pursue continuing education on IBM hardware, specifically the iSeries technology Participate and manage the booth for industry trade shows

 

 

Experience and Skills Required

 BA/BS or equivalent experience is required. Fluency in HTML and JavaExperience working with retail enterprise and direct-to consumer software solutions, specifically focused on the direct mail, catalog or distribution industry.1-3 years of professional web development experienceStrong written and oral communication skills with the personal presence to articulate complex product and service propositions to various audiences.Strong analytical and diagnostic skillsUp to 50% travel required
