Job Overview:

This is an extremely fast-paced, exciting industry and we are seeking a detail-oriented, self-starting Technical Program Manager to join our ever-growing organization. The Technical Program Manager will work closely with our foreign and domestic development staffs to manage initiatives and activities around customer implementations and the creation of new application content. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Program Management and Education to strategically drive client projects and time lines. Applicants must be able to document key technical requirements, coordinate multiple tasks with many resources and weigh priorities and time constraints appropriately.

Primary Responsibilities:


• Primary point of contact for specific technical implementation projects

• Works closely and with both the executive team and the Program Management team to follow through on client commitments as dictated by user group meetings and research
• Conducts planning and status meetings with domestic development staffs and members of our executive technical team to understand project requirements and communicate the “go-forward” plans to the client facing Project team

• Conducts daily phone calls and web meetings as needed with overseas development staffs
• Manages expectations and project status throughout the project, ensuring that project goals and timelines are met
• Maintains excellent internal communication with all team members involved
• Maintains all documentation (SCRUM reporting, Statement of Work, Change Controls, Status Reports) to ensure project details, status, milestones, logs, etc are kept up-to-date
• Coordinates QA testing & reports and signoff for project milestones (requirements / design completion)
• Tracks and communicates project status, issues, risks and decisions to development, operations and senior management



Skill Requirements:


• Experience managing the implementation of highly technical, custom, web-based software projects

• Experience in SCRUM methodologies and reporting
• Process design, system design, system development, and testing experience with web applications
• Experience in managing and working with overseas development teams in execution, integration and support
• Able to manage multiple priorities and flex with frequent change
• Management of testing, user acceptance, and implementation processes
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office products including Microsoft Project and Visio
• Proven ability to manage the full development/project lifecycle including the development and daily management of plan
• Ability to manage user acceptance testing process
• Demonstrable knowledge of current IT processes, tools, techniques.
• Familiarity with Microsoft .NET is a plus
• Project Management certification is a plus

Education and/or Training:

• Undergraduate degree required in business, math, computer science, engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in information technology project management discipline across diverse application areas and technologies.
