Technical Support Analyst/SharePoint Administrator

This position ensures continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing the technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems. Additionally, this person will act as the SharePoint Administrator and provide training to staff in use of SharePoint and office products.

Duties will include configuring machines, installing software, software patches and joining to the correct domain along with participating in the integration testing of new software on existing and intended environment. The Administrator will communicate with the vendor(s) and various technical web-sites to obtain software fixes for software, hardware and computer problems. This person will provide technical support for software, hardware problems (including printers) via the phone as well as desk site visits within the GMHC agency. The Administrator will serve as the backup Network Administrator and will verify that nightly backups have been performed.

The Administrator should be able to track customer problems from inception to closure, be able to utilize Track-IT! and prepare monthly reports to show call tracking type and volume. Further responsibilities will include bringing Microsoft SharePoint to run all departments of the agency, as well as maintaining Group Permissions in Active Directory/Exchange. It will also be necessary for this individual to train staff on the proper use of the SharePoint system effectively and be a proponent of how it can help all users. It will also be necessary for the Administrator to modify/add/delete VoIP users to the communication VLAN.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related area; or equivalent experience is required. Should have superior communication skills with strong customer focus, and proven experience serving a broad customer base is required. Additionally, strong troubleshooting capability with all types of hardware and software, some networking, and some application knowledge are all skills the applicant will need to possess. The Administrator should have expert knowledge of Windows XP, Windows Server 2k3, Office 2003/2007, Exchange 2007, SharePoint, Cisco. Excellent documentation procedures, ability to work with minimal supervision, good communication skills with new and old technology and excellent time management skills are required.
