Our customers rely on NAVTEQ digital map information for use in their applications based on its accuracy, detail and completeness.  Technical Support Engineer IV GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPEThis senior level position will be responsible for the oversight of IS operational program activities related to the technical environment, monitoring and support of products for both internal and external customers. Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to NAVTEQ customers, marketing and development teams on operational and support issues. Defines operational requirements and works with Marketing and Development to ensure integration of defined requirements.  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)- Acts as technical & program liaison between IS and our internal customers to help develop the environment, technical specification, and technical architecture plans for internal and external products.- Work with Sr. Management to ensure all assigned project are managed and aligned with IT strategies and practices.- Provides Single Point of Contact for all project requests to IS.- Develop and maintain complete IS project documentation, including project plans, project requirements, and project environment architecture.- Work closely with SysAdmin, Network, and other Technical groups within IT to implement projects. JOB SPECIFICATIONS- Undergraduate degree, 6 yrs. relevant work experience or equivalent combination education and relevant work experience.- Strong Project Management Skills- Strong hands on experience with multiple OS and tools sets.
