Technical Support Engineeer (Escalation) 

Prestigious Software company seeks Escalation Enineer for its Fort Lauderdale, FL HQ location.

This position In Fort Lauderdale Florida, requires Network Engineering  for high level -Advanced Support to this software company’s most Strategic customers.

 Escalation Engineer: to manage all technical issues; understanding of the customer’s environment : provide expert advice and troubleshooting problem resolution;  trace analysis;  advanced debugging of Windows, Linux and Unix Operating Systems; management of defect code fix process.


Responsibilities:
The support engineer will be responsible for:  Case Work / Technical Support: software defect Technical Support:
Work with the engineering team on escalated customer issues. Be point-of-contact for assigned customers
 Create Knowledge Base articles white papers for complex Support issues: Create and present technical Webcasts.

Develop skill sets with network operating systems and network monitoring, protocol analyzers, WAN and LAN switching and routing, load balancing and SSL acceleration,  Perl, C, C++, Java, etc.,

 Participate in internal employee facing and external customer facing training events throughout the US and internationally.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (computer related engineering desired).
Microsoft and UNIX operating systems  Network protocols, devices, and troubleshoot  network related issues.
Excellent customer service skills Outstanding communication skills (oral and written)
Be able to present technical subject matter to both technical and non-technical groups.
Excellent time management skills, and work in an individual and team environment.

Specialized skills:

 Load Balancers (e.g. Foundry ServerIron, Alteon, NetScaler, F5 BigIp, Cisco CSS)
 Network Operating Systems (e.g. IOS, CatOS, JunOS)
 Server Operating Systems (FreeBSD and Linux)
 Internet Software (Apache, BIND)
 Network monitoring and management (e.g. nagios, mrtg/rrd, snmp)
 Sniffers and Protocol Analyzers (e.g.tcpdump, ethereal)
 Scripting (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python)
 Security (e.g. SSL/TLS, VPNs, Firewall, IDS/IPS)
 Working knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP)
 

Strong working knowledge of commonly used appliances (load balancers, cache devices, packet shapers, protocol analyzers), WAN and LAN switching and routing, ARP, TCP, IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS and other related internet protocols; secure Web application delivery; TCP/IP protocol;  stack,application layer protocols; common switching and routing products. Layer 4-7 load balancing and SSL acceleration
Working knowledge of UNIX server administration and scripting
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
