Technical Trainer - Java

Growing software company located in northern Cincinnati is searching for a Technical Trainer to join their team.

We have been in business over 20 years and develop software packages that are used by major retailers across the globe. We are seeking candidates for our office in Cincinnati that can train our new development team members and our customer teams on how best to use our software product.

 

ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and deliver technical training for our clients on the use of our java-based software solutionsDevelop training communications and materials (including documentation)Determine appropriate methods of delivering various types of training to the end userIdentify training requirements of our clients through needs assessmentEvaluate training effectiveness to ensure transfer of skills and knowledgeMay periodically participate in the user testing phase of the systems development life cycle in order to gain knowledge of the application and provide feedback to the development team

RequirementsBachelors degree or equivalent experience5-7 years of extensive technical training experienceExtensive knowledge of JavaAbility to conduct needs analysis using a variety of methodsOutstanding facilitation, presentation and interpersonal skillsProven ability to build strong relationships with business partnersDemonstrated ability to design, develop and deliver training programsKnowledge of the IT industry and how applications are used within the organizationExcellent planning, analytical and communication skillsAttention to detail and extremely organized with a desire for meeting deadlinesConfident self-starter with the ability to work with minimal directionStrong systems skills (Word, Visio, PowerPoint)Must be willing and able to travel throughout North America 50-75% to client locations for onsite training
