This is an opportunity to join a small group of writers in creating increasingly useful documentation for Low Fare Search and related software that powers many of today’s leading travel sites. Our online documentation is aimed at programmers who use ITA’s XML API to build industry-leading travel applications.


Responsibilities:
• Plan and write new guides and revise current guides.
• Write technical notes for frequent updates of busy production systems.
• Help choose and implement new documentation tools and processes.

Qualifications:
• Five years or more experience writing for programmers
• Experience with XML
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX
• Ability to work independently and with developers, account representatives, QA, and other writers
• Experience with the airline or travel industry is a plus
• Experience with Bugzilla and Subversion is useful

Knowledge and Skills:
• Detail oriented with strong organization skills
• Confidence to participate and contribute within a fast-paced, technologically aggressive, highly skilled, and collegial team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision

This position is for a full-time employee in Kendall Square, Cambridge. We are conveniently located near the Kendall Square T stop on the Red Line and provide free employee parking at the Kendall Square Cinema garage. No agencies please.
