Technical Skills
Minimum 3 years experience creating test cases, test harnesses and/or scripts .
Minimum 3 years software testing (functional, integration, system, and/or automation).
Minimum 3 years experience working with testing tools, such as Mercury Interactive Test Director or Rational's Test Manager.
Minimum 3 years experience in developing test automation strategies and its implementation.
Minimum 3 years working within a heterogeneous platform environment (Unix, Mainframe, Windows, etc.).
Minimum 3 years experience using Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on WORD and PowerPoint.
Minimum 1 year SQL scripting.
Experience with Integrated Operations or Enterprise Management applications & Teams
Design, development, and delivery of test plans for both in-house and third party software solutions
Design, development, and delivery of automation tools to support the QA environment
Documentation of the quality assurance process
Evaluation and recommendation of testing tools and procedures
Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Minimum 3 years of experience with quality assurance in a UNIX based environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in the UNIX development cycle. Familiarity with compilers, makes, C, C++, and bug tracking
Non-Technical Skills
Membership in Quality Control oriented professional organization
Certification in Quality organization or practical knowledge of SEI, SIX SIGMA, or Rational Unified Process
Job Responsibilities & Expectations of Candidate
May play a dual role of both Test Lead and Verification Lead. If assigned as Verification Lead, performs verification activities as defined by the CE Testing Team Leadership. Verification role analyzes, reconciles, measures, and reports findings on pre-determined deliverables that may affect validation efforts. Other responsibilities of a Verification Lead are:
Test Lead role for the testing efforts of application projects, the responsibilities include:
Develops testing strategy and communicates plan to management, peers, application project team and other stakeholders
Communicates project information to all test team members and managers, as appropriate
Coordinates testing activities among other testing specialists to ensure schedules are met
Tracks and reports on issues and solutions and escalates as appropriate, recommends and obtains resolution.
Communicates testing risks to CE Testing Team and IT Project Management, and develops possible mitigation strategies. *Performs other duties as assigned
