Testing and Validation Tech

SofTec IT has a 6 month contract position in Columbia, SC for someone immediately available with the following skills and work experience:



Job description:

4+ years experience testing and troubleshooting custom and/or vendor applications
Excellent Data Analysis required, specifically SQL Server.
Knowledge of P&C insurance a plus
Some hardware/server, application installation experience a plus

Strong Business/Systems analysis
Strong proficiency in documentation, particularly user specifications & process flow diagrams.
Strong proficiency in communicating with business users, vendors, and technical staff is essential
Strong technology skills and understanding, with the ability to work effectively with managers, users, and technical staff, and be pro-active in problem resolution.

B.A./B.S. required (Business systems, Technical areas)

Position will involve working with customer management office and IT personnel to implement and support vendor applications, including analysis of issues, data management and validation, writing specifications, troubleshooting, and overall management of the applications (e.g. upgrades, configuration changes, data integrity working with Vendor to resolve issues, etc.).

Technical, and data analysis skills are required, as well as ability to work with business customers, vendors, managers, and technical staff at all levels. Position will also provide ongoing quality assurance support in a rapidly changing environment driven by legal requirements and business needs, and analysis and trouble-shooting of both data and user issues.
