As the Tools Developer, you will be responsible for developing systems tools, improving UI for existing tools, and automating processes. Your primary client(s) will be our systems administrators and network engineers, but you will also handle tickets and requests from the rest of the company.

 

What You Will Be Doing:Maintain and extend Java tools used as part of our asset export pipelineSupport art tools including writing and maintaining MEL scripts for adding attributes to Maya objectsDeveloping skeletal animation export/import toolsCreation of a database UI to create, configure and edit game objects and their properties, used by internal teamsDesign and maintain Java game and asset deployment toolsImplement tools to perform incremental art buildsImplement methods and tools for distributing and releasing (The art portion of) internal builds in coordination with one or more build engineersAssist in design of, and methods for, distributing code and releasing products






Skills and experience you should bring to the table:

Must be proficient with at least one of the following: Java, C++, C#, Python or Ruby. (Java experience is a plus)Working knowledge of basic SQL syntaxBe a strong developer who could focus on tools but be available to help with general client development as his/her time allowed·
 Must have experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems, and be open to working with bothMust be willing to learn, a self starter, and able to perform in a quickly changing environment
