We seek a Technical Training Specialist for our Training Group in our Glastonbury, CT world headquarters location. This is a position for a professional corporate instructor with a strong technical background and financial industry experience to train clients on our financial industry software solutions. Position can be remote - telecommute -  for the right candidate

As an Open Solutions Technical Training Specialist, you will be required to develop, deliver and maintain classroom training for corporate clients' staffs and their Train-the Trainer programs to include: design web-based and blended learning solutions using sound adult learning principles analyze subject matter and design the appropriate instructional offerings for the content develop custom training packages for specific financial institution audiences, including training setup guide, instructor/student manuals, exercises, and assessments deliver training and/or assessments at various locations both at client facilities and at various Open Solutions locations develop, maintain and deliver training via classroom, web-based training, various tutorials, or other media collaborate with subject matter experts, other instructional designers, and multimedia/graphic designers system testing for training preparation and new releases do extensive research of system functionality for training accuracy and flow assist in the upkeep and improvement of training materials set up and maintain training database to use at our training facilities and at client sites travel 75-90% of the time  perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

To qualify for this position you must have: a Bachelor's degree (BA) in education, business, or industry- related field, or equivalent education and experience three or more years of financial institution experience in the following: Oracle, Nexus InvolveSoftware, Jet Forms Design software, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server, Centura, SQR, Java, and ASP .NET working knowledge of Windows 2003 and Windows XP experience in facilitating and presenting training to adult learners the ability to think through an entire process or project plan a self-motivated and self-directed approach to work the ability to juggle multiple priorities and serve many constituencies the ability to work flexible hours to meet department needs and timelines previous experience writing documentation and procedures oral and written communication skills, and team-centric interpersonal skills expertise with standard business software programs the ability and willingness to travel 75% to 90% of the time an internal engine that makes you flexible, team-orientated and an independent self-starter a demonstrated ability to exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills strong organization and time-management abilities Batch Processing Operator experience is a plus but is not required experience in developing and facilitating training via virtual classroom or interactive tutorials is also a plus.
