Training-Support Specialist, Global Business Intelligence

John Wiley & Sons, Inc., one of Forbes Magazine's "400 Best Big Companies in America,” is a global enterprise providing must-have content and services for the academic, professional, scientific, technical, medical, and consumer markets.  We are seeking a Training/Support Specialist to manage the day-to-day training support activities related to Wiley’s data warehouse system.

 

In this role, you will course development, schedule and deliver training sessions for Business Intelligence Systems (BIS) products and services, be the front-line support for questions and calls for BIS products, and manage administrative aspects of the BIS operations (issue system management, support site uploads and maintenance).

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 1 to 3 years experience in training and support related to a large-scale systems project Strong hands-on working knowledge in: data warehouse and business intelligence concepts, general systems/training documentation and standards, extensive experience/skills in Microsoft Office products as well as Access, Visio,  MS Project and advanced skills in MS PowerPoint Strong strategic thinking, organizational, analytical, problem solving, and ability to multi-task 

 

Desirable Skills:

 

Cognos reporting tools including Powerplay and Series 8, SQL querying utilities and experience in using AS/400-based applications are a plus.
