UI Designer Contractor

EFI is the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing. User Interface/Interaction Designer

Relocation is not available for this position.

 

EFI is looking for a talented user interface designer for its Product Design group. As a UI designer, you will be working closely with product managers, engineers and designers to design usable and elegant interface solutions for a wide range of EFI software products based on user-centered design processes.

 

As a successful candidate, you will have:

•  Ability to solve complex workflow problems

•  Excellent analytical, conceptualization and communication skills

•  Desire for taking on a design lead role for the projects assigned

•  Great attitude towards working in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment

 

You will be responsible for:

•  the entire interface design lifecycle from concept to specification that accurately translates the vision and requirements of the product

•  designing for the capabilities of the underlying technology while maintaining the focus on the context of use

•  ensuring the quality and integrity of the design throughout the development cycle

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in human-computer interaction, product design, graphic design, or related field

2.  Minimum 5-7 years of experience in designing desktop or web-based applications

3.  Proficient in developing information architecture, workflow/interaction diagrams and screen mockups

4.  Must demonstrate interface design ability with proven methodology

5.  Excellent teamwork and communication skills

6.  Proficient in software tools needed to complete the projects successfully (For example: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver or equivalent tools)

7.  Familiarity with Windows or Macintosh user interface guidelines a plus.
