DESCRIPTION

This position involves providing expertise Quality Assurance of the software product line using UNIX shell scripting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop, perform and execute Test Procedures, Test Plans and Test Scripts on software product line

· Assist in the development of installation procedures regarding delivery and development

· Manage and coordinate activities within provided QA Testing schedule

· Arrange utilization of automated testing tools

· Assist customer support specialists and other team members with product installation and training

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

· Advanced user of UNIX shell scripting (UNIX is most important skill set). Korn, Bash preferred.

· Advanced user of UNIX VI editor

· Expert in Quality Assurance techniques of gathering requirements, test plan and test script creation. Collection, Test Plan Creation, Test Script

· Functional user of FTP, TELNET, SSH

· Functional user of MS Excel, IE, Project, Word, Mozilla Firefox

· Strong presentation skills, communication skills and personal interaction skills. Must have the ability  
to work closely with the software development team.

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

· Oil and Gas data structures knowledge for exploration (including well and seismic data)

· Experience as a Lead QA engineer or analyst

· Experience with automated testing script record / playback tools

· Knowledge of geological packages such as: Charisma, GeoFrame, OpenWorks, Recall, Petra, Seisworks
