 Unix System Administrator

(Position available in Chicago, USA)

System Administrator

Responsibilities:

· Technical consultation and support for the integration of our trading solutions to the existing infrastructures of banks, brokerages and proprietary trading firms. 

· Building and maintaining relations with suppliers and clients regarding all technical aspects

· Hard- and Software configuration and installation of routers, operating systems, RTS software and exchange software for customers

· Maintaining of hardware, system- and RTS Software as well as further systems, such as exchange software

· Quality management of Hard- and Software

· Offer technical and basic functional support for clients including Hotline support during normal exchange trading hours

· Technical product presentation for acquisition of new clients

· Analysis of hard- and software requirements

 

Requirements:

· Completed study or comparable IT experience.

· Complete understanding of Unix (Solaris, Linux) operating systems is required.

· Windows XP, Windows 2000 operating systems knowledge is a plus.

· Experience with networking, using Cisco Routers.

· Flexibility and travel readiness for installations within the same country and abroad is required

· As the contact person for technical questions, to be able to cope well in and keep a general overview of hectic situations

· Basic interest in electronic exchanges and electronic trading;

· Motivated team player

· Ability to work in a customer/service-orientated manner
