UX Director - Employer Site
UX Director - Employer Site Monster is seeking an experienced UX Director to join our team to define and create the next-generation of interactive experiences for our customers globally. We’re looking for a strong user experience leader to help us redefine how employers will use the internet to search, identify and connect to the best candidates. You will be leading a team of talented interaction designers and UX leads, committed to develop innovative, easy-to-use, best-of-breed new products and overhauling existing ones in accordance with Monster brand guidelines for our Employer website. This position reports to the Global UX Director and is based in Maynard, MA. Essential Functions · Oversee all employer UX projects from planning to launch, managing inputs from Product Management, Program Management and Engineering Departments. Ensure every project meet both business and users' goals. · Planning and estimation for all employer projects. Risk / issue management and resolution. · Define priorities and allocate resources as appropriate for all projects. · Coordinate employer UX activities with other key departments, ensuring accurate and highly professional communications and collaboration at all times. · Bring strong creative, conceptual and problem-solving skills to translate conceptual ideas (business needs and user goals) into interaction and design solutions. · Assess data from multiple sources (product requirements, tech constraints, UX research, web analytics, latest industry trends…) and synthesize it in order to provide valuable direction to the team. · Work in conjunction with UX Research manager to appropriately inform design decisions with qualitative and quantitative UX research findings. · Define UX performance metrics (error rate, abandon rate, average number of clicks, perceived ease of use, etc.) for every project to track its success. · Ensuring UX solutions comply with Monster UX guidelines and principles. · Oversee the development of Monster library of design patterns, UX guidelines and best practices to ensure successful knowledge sharing and consistency across employer-related products. · Serve as a steward for team documentation and guidelines. Disseminate best practices across the UX organization. · Be a key catalyst in driving a culture of teamwork and innovation centered around the needs of our customers. · Managing and mentoring interaction designers; writing performance reviews; determining compensation and career growth. Requirements 3+ years experience in comparable roles. · Bachelor’s degree required in design-related discipline: Interaction, Graphic or Interface design. · Proven track record delivering high quality work while hitting commitments and timeframes based on product and business requirements · Ability to successfully execute on, and load balance across, multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. · Ability to effectively negotiate conflict and persuade others on the merits of a design solution. · Ability to assess, prioritize and make trade-offs against business, technical and user constraints. · Thorough understanding of overall web site design, including basic usability, industry standards, web analytics and brand. · Proficient to expert in some of these tools: Microsoft Visio, Intuitec, Axure, Morae, UserView, Clickdensity, Tapefailure, Photoshop, Fireworks. · Knowledge of cross-platform browser compatibility restrictions and requirements.
