Its consumer properties offer a comprehensive destination for the active lifestyle.The Active Network is currently seeking a User Interface Analyst to prototype, design, and build graphic user interfaces (GUIs) for software development, Web forms, and other applications. The User Interface Analyst will be primarily responsible for the development and refinement of rich and scalable user interfaces and screen concepts. This includes:*capturing user requirements through collaboration with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and Development *leading and participating in testing sessions, and *coordinating final implementation of the GUI based on feedback *establishing common User Interface design standardsResponsibilities:*Design, prototype, and document Active product user interfaces *Produce wire frame UI concepts and detailed UI design *Develop and maintain UI specification documents *Ensure user interface consistency within a multi-application suite *Support common user interface elements, such as icons and menus *Design and prototype new user interface controls *Conceptualize, research, design, and collaborate on a variety of visual solutions *Gather and analyze user requirements, understand and interpret user needs and goals into design solutions *Working closely with a cross-functional team to assess product requirements to design easy-to-use and innovative user interfaces *Instituting task modeling of the user workflow *Lead in the definition and execution of usability tests *Create wireframes, prototype navigation models and interaction designs for demonstration and usability testing prior to development *Revise UI designs based on continuing user testing and customer feedback *Perform other duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:*A minimum of two years of graphical user interface design experience, including one year building usability prototypes *At least two years of experience applying human factors to software development processes *Bachelor's degree in graphic design, computer graphics, industrial design, computer science, human-computer interaction, cognitive psychology, or a related field *Excellent knowledge of design aesthetics and specifications *Excellent knowledge of human-computer interaction techniques and issues for PC and World Wide Web platforms *Excellent user interface and graphic design knowledge and skills *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills *Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills *Ability to focus on details and apply new technology *Experience with Photoshop, PowerPoint, Flash, Flex, and/or Fireworks *Self motivated, independent and able to work under pressureDesirable:*Experience applying 508 accessibility standards to system design *Experience building usability prototypes using Flash, Visual Basic, JSP, HTML, and/or JavaKick-start your career, ignite your passion, partner with a winner, and enjoy the results!
