User Interface / Web Design for High-Traffic Consumer Site

A Beverly Hills-based company is seeking for a UI designer to create the application flow and interface for a large, high-traffic adult community and commerce Web portal.The position is located in our Beverly Hills offices.  The initial contract will run roughly two months.  For the right candidate, we are open to the possibility of negotiating full-time employment after the contract expires.

Experience:

* Five or more years in graphic and Web design

* Track record of UI design for consumer-facing sites.* Degree in

Requirements:* Expertise with CSS, XHTML, Flash/Flex/Actionscript, JavaScript, and Web 2.0concepts and methods is absolutely essential.* Strong knowledge of Photoshop is required.* Strong understanding of the current ecommerce technologies and a mastery of the principals of Web design, HCI, and scalable dynamic GUIs.

* Able to create user experience flows quickly and generate wireframes and interactive prototypes for review.* Able to interact with project managers, software engineers, and business stakeholders.

* Work well in teams, incorporating ideas from partners,business stakeholders, and technical experts. Desired Qualifications:

* Experience withIllustrator, PHP, and Linux are definite plusses.* Experience conducting usability studies and documenting their results.* Experience evaluating user interface effectiveness against businessgoals.* Equally comfortable working within existing HTML templates or creating newtemplates that can be maintained by others.* Strong written and oral presentation skills.
