VC++ / MFC Developer (MUST HAVE FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE)

We are looking for a "impact player" with seasoned & proven capabilities in the portfolio and deal management space.

The focus is on new application suite development for deal construction, trading workflows, portfolio mgmt & valuation processes and risk.

 

A successful candidate will have excellent VC++ skills, knowledge of the MFC and Win32 apis.  Must be a self starter and take personal responsibility and pride in delivering robust, efficient software.

 

Responsibilities will include:

1. Design and develop desk top applications for Citadel's fundamental investment teams

Take ownership of research, design, implementation, and delivery of new applications and features.

2. Collaborate with teammates and users to understand and address issues they are encounter.

3. Develop adequate documentation at all levels.

 

Required Skills:

-Minimum of 5 years of software development experience

-Domain knowledge in finance & equity markets (traditional equities or options / risk arb & event driven).

-Expert skills in VC++

-Experience building applications (client/server) and client libraries on the Windows platform (MFC)

-Experience with multithreaded applications

-Proven ability to deliver high quality code

-Proven demonstration of creativity and eye for presentation of applications

-Experience in the entire software development cycle (concept, design, development, testing, release, support)

-Strong communication skills

-Proven team player

-Familiarity with source control systems in a shared environment

-Experience with STL

-Preferred Skills:

-Experience developing commercial/shrink wrapped software

-Experience with Stingray/BCG or other component suites

-Competent with builds and scripting

-Strong SQL skills

-Familiarity with Tibco messaging
