VISUAL BASIC (VB.NET) SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Westinis, Inc., a Boulder, Colorado based IT consulting and staffing firm is seeking a contract software developer to join a client's small, internal development team writing an operations-focused Windows-based enterprise software application.

 

This application is being built using Visual Studio 2008, Visual Basic .NET 2008, SQL Server 2005, Language Integrated Query (LINQ), and takes advantage of Microsoft's Team System for collaborative development.

 

This is expected to be a 6-12 month engagement, but could run longer.  Most work performed by the contractor will occur remotely (work-from-home) utilizing conference calls and web-based collaboration.  However, there will be the occasional need to meet in Boulder and Loveland (especially at the onset to get brought up to speed as quickly as possible).

 

SKILLS REQUIRED- Mid-to-Senior level VB.NET software development (can hit the ground running)- Grasp of, and experience with object oriented software development- Ability to work on a small team, independently, and remotely

 

SKILLS DESIRED- Microsoft's Visual Studio Team System (VSTS)- Microsoft's Language Integrated Query (LINQ)

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION- Hourly rate commensurate with experience- This is a contract (1099), not a permanent (W2) position- Must be U.S. citizen or have valid credentials to work in U.S.
