Seagate Services, a division of Seagate Technology, is seeking a Vault Administrator for its EVault Managed Services team. This position will provide advanced Director Application support.

Imagine Yourself: Being responsible for a group of vaults as designated by the vault rotation schedule Being accountable for the following tasks on your assigned vaults: Daily Checks Necessary free space for work and raid areas vvupdate failures vvmigrate failures vvserver failures vvpoolop failures restore failures Being part of a Vault Rotation On-Call rotation Processing the recovery data in the event of a Disaster Recovery scenario Supplying accounting with storage extracts from your assigned vaults for billing purposes Providing the first response in the event of a vault outage which includes attempting to resolve any issues associated with the outage and sending notifications to the customers Being responsible for all data management requests
What We’re Looking For: At least 2 years experience working with Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers and 2003 Servers Experience in a customer support role Database experience with SQL (MSSQL and MySQL) Basic network troubleshooting experience across all Microsoft Windows platforms Familiarity with back-up software Expert in EVault Agent and Director technologies Familiarity with advanced networking concepts Ability to multi-task and work under dynamic conditions and constraints with minimal supervision i.e. strong analytical, prioritization, time management, attention to detail and follow-up skills Someone who is highly motivated and team oriented
