Vice President, Marketing-Sales Operations - Supply Chain
POSITION: VP, Marketing-Sales OperationsReports to; Chief Commercial Officer As a member of the commercial management team, the VP of Sales Operations will be responsible for global customer acquisition and revenue generation as well as partnership alignment, client services, and Product and Technology Management. In this role, the VP of Sales Operations will design, implement, and manage segmentation and coverage models, channel optimization, coaching processes, sales team concepts, quotas, reward and recognition programs, sales tools ( CRM and Performance scorecards), forecasting, market research, and competitive positioning. Experience creating value propositions, industry analysis, advertising, online collateral, go-to-market strategies, product launches, and lead generation programs are key to this role. The VP will have excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving capabilities, creative thinking, and proven solution selling capabilities. This person will be characterized by their strong relationship-building and solution selling capabilities; a proven ability to consistently manage to and exceed goals; and the ability to develop a world class sales and alliance organization. The successful executive will have fluency in logistics or supply chain applications and proven leadership abilities within a team selling environment. Requirements· Solid track record of success in sales management and driving revenue growth in a global enterprise · 10+ years combined sales or sales management with 2+ years in sales operations leading a team responsible for global sales best practices, in the Internet, software, services, supply-chain/logistics, consumer products, media or high technology sectors· Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation and decision-making, ability to influence others outside direct control including management, internal and external partners· Ability to inspire and evangelize· Business/Marketing degree or related relevant discipline or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred· Able to travel globally· Must be strong presenter with excellent written communications and robust financial analysis ability Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
